Stress

What is stress?

It is usually used to describe daily events, arguing with the boss, arguing with the child, or traveling in and out of the city with public transportation. In fact, it is the same word that used to be expressed with the words worry, anxiety, anger, sadness or fear. Its wide usage makes it difficult to discern its exact meaning. On the other hand, the meaning of this word depends on the expertise of the audience. In music, "relying on a particular note", in linguistics, "relying on a particular syllable", in biology, "to express the existence of a real danger threatening the life of a living being" and... The general public uses the word "stress" with different meanings and concepts to express fatigue, mental pressure, helplessness, helplessness, discomfort, sadness, difficulty at work, worry, anxiety, fear, distress and depression.

The role of stress in psychological damage

can have different roles in pathology, including:

  • Leading role: Sometimes, stress caused by deprivation, social pressure, family disputes, etc. paves the way for psychological disorders such as anxiety, obsession, etc.
  • The role of the revealer: In most disorders, stress plays the role of revealer. And with the increase in the amount of stress, silent mental disorders in susceptible people are quickly activated and problems arise. For example, with an increase in the amount of stress, the psychological disorder of depression becomes apparent in a susceptible person.
  • Sustaining role: Most psychological disorders cause stress in people. Here, stress is not the continuation of the disease, but it is continued.

What harm does it bring us?

First of all, people's reactions to stress are different. This means that the event that may increase blood pressure of one person may be unimportant for another and may not change his physical and mental conditions. Secondly, some problems are caused by it. Excessive fatigue, too much work, moving furniture, job change, sadness are some of the most common events that manifest with stress. However, sometimes we are so used to living with them that we do not realize the depth of their influence. Stress does not only threaten the health of the soul, it also endangers the health of the body.

Not always bad: We don't need to consider stress as an aggressive and evil force and imagine that we should avoid it at all costs. All living things experience it. In humans, it is responsible for the secretion of adrenaline hormone. Adrenaline is a hormone that helps us pass exams, do things on time, move furniture, etc. So it is useful in these situations. Because it guarantees our health and happiness by stimulating constructive forces.

is inevitable: It is inevitable but controllable. The key to friendship or enmity with it is knowing how to control it. Most of the time, the reaction to a stressful situation is more problematic than the event itself. Numerous researches have shown that changing the human reaction to it, turns negative experiences into positive experiences and helps us live a happier and more productive life.

Emotional and psychological stress: It is caused by the following factors: - Work issues and problems - Family fight - Financial concerns - Job interview (continued)
